Gassie its always nice to have something from a family member . Your knife has had some modifications or looks to have been re shaped. The knife is a WWII knife how it got to Vietnam who knows . Thanks for showing. Gary

Thanks Gary. Yea, my father was starting to sharpen it when I told him how it was destroying it. My uncle found it on a boat in Vietnam, so who knows how it got on there.

Indeed, looks like about 3/16ths of blade has been removed - possibly from
previous frequent sharpenings. The 'PAL' is the most common MK1,
and can often be found in mint or near mint condition.
$100-$125 is average, but in this condition slightly less.........
