Picked this up also today. 1944 - WWII Era - LC-14-B Woodman's Pal - Survival Knife. This one is missing a couple of the booklets but has the survival manual, emergency kit pouch, fishing line with 2 hooks and a sharpening honing stone. Edge on this one is still crisp and sharp. Canvas Marked Scabbard has a little faded ink where I think it was stamped US. My Opa had one of these that went away 15 years ago to time and use. When I saw it I had to have it. Good memories hacking up deer & moose camp with him and Dad so I had to get it. Not a rare item but one I will use. I love the Foreward in the booklet about the quality "Made with Painstaking Skill and high carbon manganese tool steel" Doubt we will see things made as well as this in our lifetime again.
