WW2 Camillus USMC fighting knife?
Article about: I have a knife which my uncle gave me when I was a kid. I have used it as my hunting knife for years, during this hunting season my buddy said that he thought that it was a WW2 Camillus USMC

I was wondering if mine was a WWII knife or maybe a vietnam era knife it doesn't have anything stamped on the blade but on the cross guard i guess you call it. It has Camillus, NY and on the side of the guard it has U.S.M.C. With a leather sheath has 9 brass or copper staples. black looks to be blued and handle is black with 5 grooves.
Pictures would really help, although late war MKII knives did have markings
on the crossguard. A leather sheath with staples is unusual for this
kind of knife, and so is a black handle - unless it is very worn
or perhaps coated with leather treatment.........
