Need a picture of the but end pf the grip and a close up of the scabbard throat markings to make an accurate call either way.

Here's some info about the early war M4 Bayos. Bayo Points 16 And you may view why a shot of the butt would help determine when it was made. Without that picture/shot... it is just a guess and nothing more on when it was made.
