    Hello
What are your thoughts on this F-S Knife?

    1. It is marked Sheffield England
    2. Blade nearly 7 inches
    3. late war or early post war?

The information on these knives seem confusing and contradictory at times.
    Thank you
    Tony

It's not a war time knife.
This is evident from the thin crossguard and also the heavy casting seam line
on the grip. Also, original wartime grips had a mould number cast into them
    near the pommel nut.

I bought a knife just like this one (including the makers mark) in 1972 or 73.
I ordered it from a add in the back of a magazine. I think I paid $14 for it.
I still have it somewhere. I'll dig it out later and post a picture.

Here is mine. It's a bad picture of a pretty beat up knife.
It's been sharpened dozens of times. The crossguard has been bent and then straightened (kind of)
It's rusty. I had to have bought it in the summer of '71 as I did not have my drivers license yet.
I used to carry it in a pocket sewen into the front of a jean vest, and after that, it spent years in
my saddlebags -- just in case.

--anyway, It is identical to yours. same seam line, same makers mark ect.
