Default Help Finding French WW1 Veteran

    Hello,
I have been trying to find any information on this french WW1 soldier for several months now but with no luck. It was in the pocket of a French uniform with a helmet that I will post in a separate thread once I have a little more information on the grouping.

If anyone can help me find anything on this soldier I would greatly appreciate it!

Emile Fournier? If I am not mistaken
I suspect he may have been in a colonial artillery unit. The uniform collar patch is red with an 8 but the uniform and helmet are khaki.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    Daniel

Hi Daniel. Have a look on Accueil - Mémoire des hommes There were 43 Emile Fourniers who died in WW1(& let's hope he didn't). It's a starting point anyway. Rob

Thank you Rob! I'll have a look.
I don't think he died in the war as I have his victory medal and a veterans medal. That could be why he may seem a little harder to find.

Thanks again for the website link!

    Daniel
