Any updates my friend?
Sadly I have not had the time to do any restoration work, due to family commitments and other things. Hope to make a start on the bonnet doors this summer.
That is not to say I have not been busy, I have been collecting parts since the last update. Will try and post some pictures of the parts I have bought in the next few days.
Cheers my friend, always looked forward to the restoration progress..
A few days late, but I have managed to take some pictures of the parts I have bought over the past 6 or 7 months. Nothing exciting.
The 1st picture is the trailer air brake valve. 2nd is steering wheel mount to dashboard. 3rd is the base across the driving compartment, on which is mounted the hand brake lever and gear stick gate. 4th, enough hinges for engine bay doors and trailer brake connector and the last 2 more shock absorbers for the front wheels.

Must be some rare pieces there?
They are a mix of original, repro and post war. The post war part is identical to the war time issue.
Really interesting thread, can’t wait for the end result.

Hello! Great job! I also have a small part from Sd.Kfz.251, but of an earlier version than yours. Have you come across any good photos or maybe a picture of a page from the manual where you could see the placement of this sign? My plate was found last September in the forests between Rzhev and Gzhatsk, on the Gzhat River, when my friends and I were looking for parts from German equipment at a former WWII Era Soviet repair base. The plate was found along with other parts of the Sd. Kfz.251, such as the upper part of the rear door and bottom engine armor. The bottom engine armor and part of the door were used in the Soviet bunker as a stove for heating in winter; they were lined with bricks and there was a pile of coals inside. In addition to these German parts, there were also various parts from Soviet army trucks and artillery tractors.
