Damaged WESPE SD.KFZ. 124 Muzzle Brake!

Now this piece is my all time favourite, absolutely delighted to finally get my hands on it and it did indeed gave me a STING!

A battle damaged SD.KFZ. 124 WESPE (WASP) Muzzle Brake.

Complete with most of it's original paint and it's barrel thread in great condition, only the front part is missing.

Was it blown off and discarded or was the whole vehicle destroyed by the Russians?

It was "Found" in the Ukraine and how was the damage was done? was a direct hit responsible?

I don't care really as it has ended up in my back garden, and it looks magnificent against the green grass.

It will become a garden feature and I might put some Thyme inside it and see if the Bees come and visit..

As for garden Wasps, they are more than welcome to see their "new" friend

Already had a bite from it, cutting my thumb on one of the sharp edges

Truely a amazing piece, with loads of history, what more do you want?

Nice item.

I would guess it broke through use, then removed / replaced and discarded, and not through the vehicle being destroyed in battle. But just a guess.
