I did compo, the back of the headlight was badly corroded and unusable..

But with a bit of TLC and consideration, I finally got it working again.

    Latest update:

It's due to be sprayed again, replacing the Camo' scheme.

I'm also after another Bosch headlight glass..

    Luftwaffe 1941?

What have you got your eye on next?

I have one of these in my 'For restoration' pile. Mine is in a lot better condition, I also have the front cover. Just need to find a base and the time to restore it.

I absolutely love that headlight! Despite being a bit on the weathered side, it's still awesome.

Currently I'm just happy to get any parts that I can from the Tiger I. Preferably identifiable parts. You'll find some sellers claiming to have Tiger parts for sell, but the parts they have are just small mangled bits.

The headlight now, before being re-sprayed in the normal sandy colour.

    It works!

Wow, you did a fantastic job on that head light! It’s looks amazing. You can even use it as a lamp too!? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous

Also, is that a Ju52 piece of skin with a swastika I see on the wall??

He’s the last bit of tiger scrap I was able to get my hands on. Hopefully soon I’ll be adding more to the collection.

This is one of the small threaded blocks you’ll find scattered across the hull of the tank.

If you don't mind my asking, but where do you get your parts? If it's a secret, that's fine.

Ain't that the truth ! I waited a long time to find the 'right' piece ( at a price I was prepared to pay ). This came some years back from a trusted dealer ; it's an absolute cornerstone of my collection. Found in Normandy, it is identifiable as a Tiger part ( the 1/16th model is pictured for comparison ). It'll 'do' until I can find the turret from Wittmann's Tiger......

    Hi there DB
I watched your posts before signing up to the forum.
Just wondering if you finished this project ?, because you really need the firing mechanism and the connecting tube
It would make a great display to have the top plate on a "piece" of turret rook and the tube / firing mechanism underneath, like this photo.

    What do you think .
