My guess is a FAMO rübezahl and I mean a tractor could do a wide range of roles for moving guns or trailers and everything so I guess that’s why the SS had them. i am not really sure of any specific role the SS could have for a tractor. Lucky to have it compared to the horses they usually had to use!

I didn't know that the SS were attached to airfields moving aircraft, moving guns makes sense.
