American half track/heavy truck tow hitch.
Hi. I have been digging up a specific field in Normandy (with permission) for about three years now. Mostly Sherman parts, and German bomber parts (now identified as a JU188 produced in 1943) have been popping up. Pictures soon....... This item, a towing hitch from halftrack or heavy truck (US) was one of my latest finds. If any member would like it I am happy to give it away, (collection only, its very heavy). As you can see from before/after shots, it cleaned up quite well. Sorry but I dont have the spring!!! Only two stipulations, Not a dealer, collector/museum only. Also a (what you would consider) a fair donation either to the forum, or to Royal British Legion charity. If anyone is interested or knows of someone who is, please let me know. Item is in Lincoln, UK.
Kind regards
Francis

Nice! I'm sure Thor could use this as a substitute if he ever lost his hammer
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
