Yeh mate for flares.
That is a very interesting book. Nice one. That’s a very kind offer. Would you like me to find out about where you could donate it to? Cheers.
There was a version of the Universal Carrier that was made in New Zealand during WW2 for home defence. It was built at the Railway workshops in Christchurch and varied somewhat from the specifications of the the original design. After the war the army sold them off and many were bought by farmers, often hill country farms where it was a useful vehicle such as for carrying all your gear up a hill side for a spot of fencing. They still turn up. A few years back a bloke in a small town in south Waikato dug one up in his garden. Why it was buried remained a mystery.
A photo of one recovered from a farm. A mobile diesel tank.
That’s pretty cool.
Pretty awesome. Must be a hoot to drive around town!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
