Panzer 3 Ausf.L, s.Pz.Abt. 502 Russia 1942.

Another model I built back in 2008 it's the Tamiya 1/48th scale Panzer 3 Ausf. L with paint and markings from the 502nd Heavy tank battalion in Russia September 1942 who were equipped with Tiger 1's and Panzer 3's. I added a few extra details to this model like - handles on the tool clamps from bent lead foil strips, Electrical wire conduits for the lights and horn from fuse wire, spare track pins from cut down sewing pins, etched brass engine intake grills, Battle damaged the fenders and removed one, placed metal pins into the hull between the return rollers to give the correct sag to the rubber band type tracks, water bottles, helmets, bread bag, pick axe head, chain, wire, tin mug and mess tin all from my spares box. The figure comes with the kit and is painted as an NCO in black Panzer uniform. The model was later put on a proper display base with some road and groundwork I still have this one. This is a nice easy kit to build and even if you don't detail it at all it looks great. The photos are from 2008 and not very good quality I should really take some better ones but am a lazy git!
