There were 258 crosses made. However some veterans felt that there were People that had been helping to take care of them decided that these people should also be awarded that medal. List of recipients is on second page.

Beautiful story about this Flag : and how it survived until 1923 when it was given to military cadets of Lwow.
They mention that in 1914 in Lwow the russian government had declared that all weapons and militaria be surrendered, the Flag was hidden by Dr Aleksander Czolowski, who was a director of City Archives and Museums.
The original Flag carrier was wounded twice, lost the use of his right hand and had to live under assumed name: Szymon Wizunas z Moczydlow Szydlowski. He carried the Flag in his left hand at meetings of "Company of Members of Uprising of 1863 " He died in 1906 and monument was erected in Lwow's Lyczakowski Cementary.
After his death the Flag caretaker was Zygmunt Niesobia Krzywosad Kepinski, cavalryman from Colonel Langiewicz.

Above previous caretaker had copied obituary for Lt Suss, who had lived to be 103 years old.

Here's an image from an event that took place in the latter half of the 1930's with 1863 veterans meeting Marshal Edward Śmigły-Rydz and other high ranking officers. The marshal is accepting a bouquet from what appears to be an elderly female veteran. The 1863 emblems are clearly visible on the epaulettes. The photo was taken by Witold Pikiel, official photographer of the armed forces.
