I hope its okay to post more VMs...
Heres a 4th Class VM that looks to be a WW2 era cross.
Absolutely! And thanks for your post.
This is a post war made cross patterned after the pre-war Jan Knedler products. There are two theories on these. The most common story is that the Knedler dies survived and were used to re-strike replacements for veterans. I do not know exactly when or by whom, but have heard that it was possible within Poland or in the UK. The other possibility is that they are Bialkiewicz products made in the UK a decade or two after the war.

T.

Hi Mariusz, Thank you for posting these pictures. Is this from a museum somewhere?
While the various decorations are interesting, I am most intrigued by that small 24th Regiment banner!
Cheers,
Tony

Indeed, not 1 Polish regiment banner was captured during Battle, some were found a couple of months or years after the battle but not even 1 regimental banner was captured.Rare item though

Hi Mariusz,
Did you take any pictures of the uniform displays?
I plan on returning to Poland for a long awaited visit next summer, and it appears that I’ll have to add Kolobrzeg to the itinerary!
Regards,
Tony
