Some have also attributed this version to Firmin, London. There is evidence that suggests a connection between the firms of Spink and Firmin.

Hi Esco,
It has some odd qualities, but I believe it is a genuine version without blue painted shield. For some unknown reason not all of these had the blue shields. It appears the bottom anchor retaining prong is missing. Unless the price is very low I’d be inclined to await a better example as these are not particularly rare.

Good day folks, This parachute jacket is for sale at Cuttlestones Auctions on 11 Jan.

The jacket is 1940 pattern dated 1945 I think. I think it looks made up and I don't like the pennons although the photos aren't brilliant and the POLAND shoulder tabs look incorrect and modern.
What do you think?
