Does Anyone Recognise this Soldier - WW2 medals etc came with it.

Article about: Good day folks I got this little group the other day. Anyone recognise the face of the unit? I think the group looks fine but what is the badge with the A on it? Thanks James

    In foto pre 1939 is 2nd lieutenant from the 77th Infantry Regiment.Regiment was stationed in the garrison of Lida.On the lieutenat's epaulette of the regimental monogram bear.

    Rgt badge 77th IR.

    So this man serving in 2 Riffle Regiment is perfectly credible.

    Any thoughts on the A badge? It has a spinner marked POZAMET POZNAN. Obviously not PSZ but is it pre or post war or totally unrelated?

    The badge is prewar. I wanted to show you a bear on the shield.

    Badge with A is communist era collar badge for military administration. Look in top right corner of picture. It's maker says it all.
