Hi Andrzej, thanks for sharing your collection. It's surprising that cross 84637 was released rather than ending up on the scrapheap. A very interesting cross to see. I wonder if the accompanying legitymacja had the corrected number written in. I suppose that it would, although as these numbers were usually manually written in I can imagine that the person filling out the award document paused for a moment.
Cheers,
Tony

Hi Ted, I've moved your question over to this existing thread rather than having another parallel thread started. Crosses numbered up over 49000 were not awarded and held as surplus in the Polish exile government vaults until sold off sometime around 1990 if I'm not mistaken.
Regards,
Tony

Hi, Andrzej.
Great collection, thanks for the show.
Andrzej.
Would you be so kind as to find out details of the Recipient of the MCC 42 880,42 998,3 561,8 670,25 635.
Thank you.
Hi Andrzej, can I ask you about the monte cassino cross of Eugeniusz Dobrodumow? He was my grandfather. I don't know anything about this cross, but obviously I am intrigued and wondering how it came to be in possession of someone outside the family. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards
Jan
