All I know about Lech Tymiński (army number 1925-205-III) is that he served in 6 Pułk Pancerny "Dzieci Lwowskich" (6th Children of Lwów Armoured Regiment) in a rank of Pancerny, so I thought he was one of the MCC recipients.

Captured by soviets in Tarnopol 1939-09-17.Camps:Krzywy Róg,Siewżełdorłag,Juża.Joined to the Ander's Army in Tatiszczewo 1941-09-04.Returned to Poland.MCC number 12363.

2.kanonier OLSZEWSKI Józef born 1906-09-02 Bielawy Złotowskie powiat Mława.Father's name Leon.1939 served in 1 pułk przeciwlotniczy.Captured by soviets 1939-09-21 in Brody.Camps:Równe-Lwów,Szepietówka.Joined to the Anders Army 1941-09-02 in Tatiszczewo.Army number 1906-47-III.Unit 5 kresowy pułk artylerii przeciwlotniczej.Returned to Poland.MCC number 23242.

3.kanonier CIMOCH Henryk born 191(6)7-01-17 powiat Ostrów-Mazowiecki.Father's name Andrzej.Arrested by soviets in 1939.Unit 7 pułk atyleriii przeciwlotniczej lekkiej.As a soldier of the Second Corps under the command of General Władysław Anders, he fought for Monte Cassino, where he was wounded in the leg. After a hospital stay he went to England. On June 15, 1946, he was promoted to Bombardier. In June 1947 he returned to Poland.He died on April 7, 1978. He was buried in the parish cemetery in Andrzejewo.MCC number 35815.

In the PUK monograph there is no surname Starnowski, unless there is an error in the memory room in the surname Starnowski:



During the picnic I came across further uniforms. On the general's uniform only original ribbons, the rest combined. Visible badge of the 2nd armored battalion before 1939.Virtuti Militari copy ... I don't know what people work in museums, but their approach to details is a mockery ...badge 2 Batalion Pancerny.

I have a question regarding your post #2810 about Kpt. Antoni Mikosz, Born in 1901, Army Number Not Listed, Unit : 24KT, MCC Nr : 48527.
Soldiers of 24th Transport Company were decorated with the crosses numbered 44769 - 45159. What could be the reason that he was awarded the cross outside this range?

3) Strz.sp. Hersz Zygman, B 15th February 1901, KIA 17th May 1944, Army Number 1901-41-III, Unit 4BSK, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 1099

His compatriot was then Kapral Pchor. Kazimierz Ziajka, Born in 1922, Army Number : 1922-35-III, Unit : 4BSK, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 14579.

By the end of the Campaign in Italy he had been promoted to Podporucznik and awarded the Krzyż Walecznych (Cross of Valour)
