    Dear Andrzej!
    thank you very much for your previous information .
    on the list of 3DSK soldiers there are two Stanislaw Bączyk-
    BĄCZYK Stanisław, 1901/105, kpr., 1st no.
    BĄCZYK Stanisław, 1909/26, plat., 1st pal.
    I have already described the grave of the first one, he is buried in Łódź near Stęszewo. but I found the second one too! buried 30 km away, in Ceradz Kościelny. be so kind and add some information from yourself

    Many thanks for your post numbered 4413, I have searched the Register and found only 3 Recipients with the Surname : Bączyk

    1) St.Strz. Stanisław Bączyk, Born : 29th March 1901, Fathers Name : Andrzej, Army Number : 1901-105-III, Unit : 1BSK, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 2863, by the end of the war he had been promoted to Kapral.

    2) Kan. Stanisław Bączyk, Born : 1920, Army Number : 1920-197-III, Unit : 4PAL, Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 20022.

    3) Plut. Paweł Bączyk, Born : 1903, Army Number : 1903-63-III, Unit : 7PAPpanc., Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 35040.

    I was able to find the following information on Plut. Stanisław Bączyk, Born :7th November 1909, Fathers Name : Stanisław, Army Number : 1909-26-III, Unit : 1KPAL (but not found in the Register Tomek).

    Many thanks for your post number : 4419, it proved to be searching for a needle in a haystack, but I have found the following information for you :

    Rank : Kapitan

    Surname : Malinowski

    Christian Name : Zygmunt Tomasz Stanisław

    Fathers Name : Michał

    Date of Birth : 7th March 1898

    Lived in : Warszawa.

    With the above information I was able to trace his career in the Polish Army from 1923 using the Rocznik Oficerski editions available :

    1923

    Pages : 811 & 831

    He was serving in the Dywizjon Artylerji Zenitowej (DAZ), he was serving as a Porucznik Art. promoted 1st April 1922 and was 4th in Seniority

    1924

    Pages : 702 & 756

    He was now serving in the 3PAC, still a Porucznik and still 4th in Senority.

    1928

    Pages : 411 & 484

    He was still a Porucznik art. still 4th in Seniority and serving in the 3PAC in the Samodzielny dyon artylerji przecow-lotniczej Nr. 3

    1932

    Pages 203 & 728

    Porucznik art. with 3DAPL still 4th in seniority.

    1939

    He was by now a Kapitan with the SKZ (Silver Cross of Merit), serving in the 9DAPLot.

    Whilst serving with the 2nd Polish Corps during the Italian Campaign he fought at Monte Cassino and when awarded the Monte Cassino Cross his details were as follows :

    Surname : Malinowski

    Christian Name : Zygmunt

    Date of Birth : 7th March 1898

    Fathers Name : Michał

    Army Number : 1898-194-III

    Unit : 3KPAPL

    Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 1585

    After the end of the war in Europe, he came to the UK with his Regiment and after being demobbed he settled down to civilian life in a foreign country, the next piece of information I came across was from the London Gazette Issue Number : 43442, Page Number : 8046, Dated : 22nd September 1964 when he was granted British Citizenship, Gazette entry is below :

    The next piece of information that I was able to find was in 1971 his death, he died on the 16th April 1971 in Lambeth and was cremated on the 30th April 1971.

    I have searched all over trying to find a photograph of him but with out an luck Valerii.
