    Hello Andrzej,

I hope you will be able to confirm whether the soldier shown in the photo is Ksiądz (Priest) Andrzej Busiuk awarded the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered 29673 who was the Kapelan (Chaplain) of the 1 Pułk Ułanów Krechowieckich during the war.

On his uniform there are clearly visible the Badge of the 1 Pułk Ułanów Krechowieckich on the pocket as well as the ribbons of among others the Krzyż Walecznych and the Monte Cassino Cross.

    Monte Cassino cross

The photo was taken in Great Britain in 1946-47.

Ks. kap. Andrzej Busiuk is aslo listed on the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division soldiers' List as follows: Army Number: 1907-65-III, Priest chaplain, Headquarters of the Division.

    Konrad

    Hello Konrad,

From the history of the 1PULP I can correctly state that Ks.Kap Andrzej Busiuk had a full head of hair, the photograph shows Ks.Kap. Bogusław Rosiński, who served with the Regiment from 1945-1947 and was awarded the KW, but not the MCC.

    Best wishes
