Hello Andrzej
Regarding post 4693. MCC 42237. It was the next 2 numbers that caught my attention, but not sure if my list is correct ?.
MCC 42238 Szewko. Antoni Kpr. 1898/249/III
MCC 42239 Szachno. Anatol st.szer 1898/249/III
Both have the same service number, is this correct or have I copied it down wrong as I no longer have the photograph of this page.
Regards Kevin
Hello Kevin,
Many thanks for your post you are correct with the list :
Kapral Antoni Szewko, Born 10th October 1898, Father's Name : Józef, Army Number : 1898-249-III, Unit : 162SW
St.Szer. Anatol Szachno, could not find him listed on the Polish Army Records but did find him listed on the 3DSK list of soldiers St.Szer. Anatol Szachno, 1898-249-III, Unit 3 Bryg. I also checked the index of victims of soviet repression and found a Anatol listed Born in 1893 with his Father's Name : Wincenty.
It might be that his Army Records were typed with an 8 instead of a 3, one can not say for sure, but I have found quite a few with the same Year of Birth and Service Number, when compiling the List.
Best wishes
Andrzej

Hello Konrad,
Many thanks for your post, unfortunately I could not find him listed, interesting that the CAW also listed his date of birth has 1893 as well as 1894, could not find him listed on 3DSK at all.
I also tried to find him on the CWGC site just in case he died, but nothing listed also checked the Loreto and Bologna Cemeteries but found nothing also.
Best wishes
Andrzej
