    Jadwiga survived the war in Europe and married Władysław Jagiełłowicz (1908-1979) Jadwiga died on the 19th July 2019.

    He survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his Regiment, in 1957 he applied for and was granted British Citizenship whilst working as an Iron Ore Miner, London Gazette Dated: 16th July 1957, Issue number: 41128, Page: 1239.

    Monte Cassino Cross numbered: 14596

    He survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his Battalion, he settled in Cambridge where he died in May 1990 and was buried on the 16th May 1990.

    Many thanks for your post, from what I can tell from the photographs it looks to be original.

    When awarded the recipients details were as follows:

    Surname: Skoczeń

    Christian Name: Karol

    Date of Birth: 27th May 1912

    Place of Birth: Jelenie

    Army Number: (also found on His ID Tags): 1912-380-III

    Unit: 4PAL, 5KDP

    Monte Cassino Cross numbered: 20484

    During the September 1939 Campaign he was either a regular or a reservist:

    Monte Cassino cross

    Captured 20th September 1939 and rejoined the Polish Army on the 4th September 1941.

    He survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his unit, he was repatriated in 1947 and died on the 3rd June 2010 aged 100.

    He was working has a Machine Operator and living in London.

    Unfortunately I could not find any further details about him.

    I also looked through the list of soldiers of the 3DSK online and did not find him listed, although there was a Antoni Płaszuński listed with the same Army number.
