Jan Zubkiewicz survived the war in Europe and came to the UK with his unit and after being demobbed from the Polish Resettlement Corps he settled down to civilian life in a foreign land, Jan Zubkiewicz died aged 82 on the 8th December 1980 in Manchester and was buried in the Southern Cemetery.

On September 1941 came to Tockaja station from Sevzheldorlag.
Coudn't find him inside wpol52(PISM list of died soldiers).
As I know, duaring military service inside Polish army in USSR, served in at 2 kompania "K" 20 p.p.
Looks like that soldiers from that unit came to:
- Marynarki Wojennej
- Sił Powietrznych
- 1 Dywizji Pancernej
- 1 Samodzielnej Brygady Spadochronowej

Unit: 1 Kompanii Warsztatowa (1st Workshop Company)
Monte Cassino Cross Numbered: 9757
He had also served with the Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade in Tobruk with the service number: 883 and received the SBSK Badge numbered: 2430.
By the end of the war in Europe he had been promoted to Kapral (Corporal).
The second Cross I came across is in a bad condition at this moment:

When awarded the recipients details were as follows:

Surname: Tracz
Christian Name: Józef
Date of Birth: 21st October 1910

Józef Tracz died in Manchester in 1988 aged 77.
