I came across a photograph on the NAC website of an unknown soldier of the 2nd Corps in Italy 1945-46, I have been able to identify him:

He survived the war in Europe ending with the rank of Plut.Pchor. (Lance Sergeant-Officer Cadet) and came to the UK with his Unit, he had worked in the Culture and Press Department of the 2nd Armoured Brigade in the Middle East and in Italy.
After being demobbed from the Polish Resettlement Corps he settled down to civilian life in a foreign land, he trained at Bradford Art College as a commercial artist, he worked for the likes of Cadbury's, Rowntree's and Waddington Games.
On the 9th December 1953 he married Irene Millicent Wood (Born 13th February 1918, Died 3rd November 2004)

If you look carefully at the previous photograph of Zdzisław Łukasiewicz, you will notice on his desk what he was working on at the time.
Zdzisław Łukasiewicz died on the 3rd August 1974 in Wakefield and was buried on the 6th August 1974, his wife was a widow for 30 years until her death in 2004.
