also having looked vwry close at it
it identifyes a small componant attached to a large componant
part Eof part N/asy
so the part no would equate to the larger "mother" part
with E being the differentiator when ordering a replacement
cheers ian
Dear Ian,first thanks for your reply.Second:I didn't understood anything at all..........You tend to say that this is not a war time glider part?
if the numbers on it are a nato stock number
which it looks like it is
than it cannot be war time
the rest is easy to understand if you take your time reading it
cheers ian
Easy to understand...You forgot I'm French !
Thanks again!
oh sorry my bad
il try to be a bit clearer
the plate
is attached to a part
to identify the part and record any modification done to it
if you look at the plate
the bottom row of numbers under the first 0 you wil see an X in a box
that means that modification number 1 has bin done
none of the other boxes have an X so only 1 modification has bin carried out
the problem i have with this plate is
the part number 021.230.0146.99.132 appears to be a N.A.T.O stock mumber if im correct then it cannot be a war time part
the plate also is from a sub assembly of a larger part
that is what EofN/asy means
cheers ian
it means it is part E of part N N being the whole part
we need a second opinion on the part number becouse im not 100% sure
I think this is perfectly original. But I would sugeest you drop Philipe a PM:

I am sure he will be able to help. His friend is a big Horsa collector.
