Aircraft Manufacturer's Codes I can't find anything that matches on this thread, but i seem to remember reading British aircraft radio parts had similar markings. In this case the "A" prefix is for amplifier, i could be totally wrong though.

With This info i am gonna do Some more research
It looks to be a cover for something on the outside of the aircraft. It has a Zus fastener at the top, and as far as I know Zus fasteners were not used internally. Also the bracket at the bottom formed a lip to hook to the external skin and the small hole would have a piece of wire or cotton attached, which connected it to the airframe so it would not get lost when un-fastened. It would just hang loose. I hope this helps a little.

That part number looks a bit like a Hawker Typhoon number
