Yes of course, I can ask the seller if he's okay with that. Which cap would you want to buy from him?

The prices I was quoted for each of these is:

    Allgemeine Black visor: €1,100

    Waffen SS Grey visor: €950

    U boat lieutenant visor: €600

    M-43 field cap: €280

A real Waffen-SS Officer is going to cost at least $7,000 minimum.
Black-top Officer are more rare--expect to pay $9000 for a real one.

The prices quoted are "sucker" prices--all are junk.

I am still waiting for your explanation please use WORDS not pictures to explain your reasons for saying they are junk. I still believe my examination of the 2 ss caps and analyses was correct unless you can explain why I am wrong ? HW currently has a Herr white piped peaker 317729 made of the same quality wool and shape . Saying they are fake does not make them fake unless you are able to point out and state the factors that make them fake. So posting pictures is not helpful and does not help me one iota

Prices are very low and questionable, But the Prices quoted below are ridiculous TOP DEALER rip off prices . and not a a correct selection of across the board dealers prices. We are not all rich and some have to work for their living.

The deafening silence. I joined this forum in the hope of gaining more knowledge and conversing with other collectors. On no other forum can you make derogatory comments without supporting factual information. This is neither mature or helpful to real collectors who are seeking knowledge and help. Andrew11 is really due an apology. He should have been told the truth that no determination can be bade from the rubbish pictures instead of feigning any expertise. This is personal for me as even after I explained that I examined 2 of these caps in hand and they were ok, stonemint called them junk. I have requested for him to show his expertise and explain in words why these caps are junk. Now I am met with a wall of silence no reply from him. The silence speaks volumes. Perhaps it is not the caps that are fake but the keyboard expert. I think I have made a mistake joining this forum.

Calm down, or you'll be banned. I didn't dare to share this forum but after a couple of years of following the posts and reading many of the threads. I tried to give alexander11 an explanation in my post:

"The black and the grey ss cap don't look too good. The photos are, however, not the best. Goldeband was an existing Vienna cap maker, the sweatband of this cap does not correspond to period Goldebrand caps. For information on Goldeband see here: Black Alter Art Cap.
The same goes for the sweatband of the grey cap.
You will need better, more and more detailed pics for the specialists for the other caps."

Once again: the interiors of the Schirmmützen don't match the original ones. The pictures are blurred and out of focus and don't show the really intersting things: under the sweatband shots, shots of how the piping joins etc. The thing that struck me were the sweatbands which, jugding from these pictures, are no good. (The one of the grey cap is sewn to a base of grosgrain ribbon, the one of the black cap has a velvet-like material (wanting to achieve a stirndruckfrei-effect?) in the area of the visor/peak.
The intention of the specialists sending pictures of real caps was that everybody can compare these to fakes. It is work, it is not easy, it takes time, it is often frustrating - but this is the only way to learn. Those who want an expertise should get one for money from one of the many "specialists" out there who take your money. You'll get an expertise, sometimes even one worth its price. More often than not, I am afraid, this is not the case. Do a little research yourself on these matters - here on the forum and out there in the depths of the internet.
