I have to agree with two of the most experienced collectors I know and state that everything about this cap is wrong, materials, construction etc....

This Tropenmütze is bad to the bones, it should be something obvious for anyone who ever handle an original example.
If you have already seen this type of grommets in another tropical cap, then it was a reproduction cap...
