The construction appears to be correct. Large size. The visor is the correct measurement. Is the maker stamping correct for Marie Slama & Sohn Wien?

I am still no specialist for these, if you have the cap in your hands you could check it for the features shown here by JPhilip:

Waffen-SS EM/NCO M43 Field Cap

I believe to remember that police M43s - contrary to WH ones - had a sweatband going all around the inside of the cap and sure Austrian caps (Slama was and still is! a Viennese maker) have that feature. Personally I like the cap (beware! I am no specialist for this kind of cap!) for the fabric and some details which show the workmanship. I don't know whether just one closing button is a problem. Hopefully JPhilip will see this thread.
