Feuerwehr cap

Hi, i recently bought a feuerwehr cap from the Weimar Republic with a first pattern police insignia ,but i don't know if this insignia were added post-war or pre-war, and if the insigna is original i need your opinion

This pre-war cap is likely to have had Weimar Republic Insignia before being transitioned after 1933... It's a nice piece...

The insignia is original and probably added after as Glenn suggested. You should look for the presence of extra holes or maybe an imprint or ghost image of the insignia under the police badge if there is any.
