German cap ww2?

Article about: Hi I am looking for some info about this cap looks wartime but I am not sure, colour is I think luftwaffe. All info welcome thanks in advance.

    It looks like West German to me too. Here is my example - a Kleiderkasse made by Pekuro. I've photographed it with and without flash to show the colour difference. This example is also quite faded as well.

    Colour looks East-German to me.

    Please correct me if I'm rong but the BRD/GDR Schiffchen didn't have piping as far as I remember (many WWII ones didn't either BTW).

    The early one's did, although in a different position... this is my early pattern VoPo schiffchen with silver wire piping.
