Help with White Donald Duck/Tellermutze(?) Cover
This may not be German, but out of wishful thinking, I will post it here and a moderator can move it if it belongs somewhere else (my apologies in advance). No longer bright white, it is unmarked as far as I can tell. I assume the material can vary from maker to maker and this material is a little heavier than a correct cover I have had in-hand Not sure what other navies used white covers, but it is 11 inches across, so I believe it is too big to be Japanese. Thanks.

Im surprised as well that it went this long unanswered and the reason being it may not belong here and became an oversight.
.....the question would be as you have stated is what other Navy forces has used this cap...and from there we can decide what forum can go reside in.

I saw the cover back then but as I could neither identify the fabric (seems to be roughened at the inside) nor what it could be (the second picture shows a small hole in the seam which could mean that there was a badge there) I didn't answer hoping for some specialist for Marine to see this. How does the inside look like - particularly the seam of the top panel?
Here's mine for comparison -I still need to clean & iron it-... Not all of these had the frontal interior tab with the Prym Snap as shown, btw...Many such covers were Reichsmarine Reissues as well, so we encounter slight variations out there...Helmut Weitze has several for sale at $40-$60 that you may want to take a look at for comparison purposes...
