Having taken a look at the photos here are my thoughts:
Insignia is not original to the cap having been badly sewn on.
The lining appears to be original wartime rayon.
The woollen tab re-inforcement behind the button holes is not a normal feature.
The wool of the body of the cap lacks the usual features of recycled material used in the construction of these caps. I cannot see any bits of other cloth in the mixture.
I would pass on it if offered to me.
