Expert opinion required. I have looked into the GAU NSDAP Visor cap thread. But nowhere I didn't find an analogue of this cap. The model is early, but it is strange that the visor is made of plastic, why the cap is yellow, why is this shape at the top, the cord is gold, but on other caps the cord is white. No photo with RZM. A very strange cap for me.

Please help me, what is this?

Hi Stonemint. I saw this Your publication. I cannot argue with Your experience. But I read all your publications, and I found this cap in a position - dubious. I gave up buying this hat. Yes, there is no RZM label, and the shape - such a cap could only be made by special order. This cannot be verified. But then I studied the material, I found similar material on the caps that are identified as the original. I saw such material as in the photo, and also I saw (cannot find now) the same material on Feldmütze. I don’t understand this.

Vik to me, it is a one-looker fake, one of many cranked out in the 80s/90s.
The fakers loved to use tea stains to simulate sweat stains.
Piping color is wrong as well, as is the wool color.
They also had problems finding the correct PL velvet, so many do not have it, or use brushed cotton.

You helped me a lot. I did as you said me. I have no experience, and therefore I am very pleased to receive good information from a specialist. And of course I will not argue. I accept your recommendations. I read and looked at the photos of your publications, you have done a great job. I don’t collect caps, I only needed one NSDAP and one Luftwaffe. Unfortunately, I did not have time to buy the GAU NSDAP with a badge on the cap with a golden thread of the cockade. So sad. I bought a simple one with a zinc cockade.
