My problem with this cap is the insignia itself. Never in all my years of researching the police have I seen a blue police cap eagle. Before anyone says Wasserschutzpolizei (water police) or some other variant, I really mean it when I say never. The black eagle insignia in the two above sidecaps was by far the most common sidecap insignia. Also, Ade's link to Collector's guild will show that fact as well.

I will go home and hit the reference books hard, but I remember police items rather well and I know when I say this that it startled me.

So if there are issues with the sidecap as well, I would leave this one alone.

I did find a blue eagle, but it is a very dark navy blue and was used by fire police. Still don't like this eagle on here.

Avoid it.
