Just wondering if this thing is a fake?
I suggest you post some larger/better photos if you want to receive opinions.

Pics are small, but I would say no.
Is it supposed to be KZ?

They’re calling it a field police hat. This is the link for the eBay listing:

A Frankenstein at least - there are so many issues with this cap that I tend rather to a complete fake.
Real Bulag distributed caps were made by Peküro (Stirndruckfrei - Deutsches Reichspatent indicates this maker). There is this mentioning in the cap but I can't see a Peküro patented Stirndruckfrei sweatband - it seems to be folded over leather without the strip of velvet . The sweatshield itself is funny - there seems to be a silver lining to it (and it looks brand new - no discoloration of the silver logo). The lining is funny too.

Then there is the black centerband with WH chincords (did of course occur, just adds to the oddities) which shows markings of a skull badge, yet the hat is offered as German MILITARY police field cap so it should have WH badges and a green centerband - the historians will know wheter there was an ss military police the caps of which might have been piped with waffenfarbe during the short period where this was the regulation, but that seems very unlikely. So, after all, at least a Frankenstein!
