i need some help authenticating an SA KEPI.... I only own one kepi and before i drop money just trying to have the forum give their opinion. I'm dealing with a collector who is starting to sell off his Kepi collection and has another 6 or 7 Kepi's but this one stood out ....but is it too mint to be true. Definite wear on inside the kepi is maker marked
"RECKORD" and forgot to get a pic of the RZM TAG it is completely washed out but tag is there. Any feedback would be great and appreciate any input. Sorry, but it is a fake (that was high-end for its era).

I will post the 6 or 7 Kepi's this collector is selling .... most look to NEW or Mint but would like to get feedback on them. This collector inherited these Kepi's and does not collect any TR items. He did have 7 or 8 daggers that I picked up from part of the collection he inherited that were purchased from Johnson's Reference Books back in the late 90' early 2000's. Sorry, I don't, but I know they came out of Europe some 30 years ago.
A major red flag is that the NSKK kepi is lined (they were unlined).
Also, the RZM tag is fake.

Well i figured i would go ahead and post the rest of the Kepi's ...this one to me looks right but i am a novice when it comes to kepi's and TR cloth items. Honestly very skeptical on most if not all TR cloth headgear items ....uniforms etc. I started like a lot of collectors and after a few times getting burned I usually stray away from TR items. I value the opinion of the experienced

Unfortunately, this one is a high-end repro as well.
Sweatband is most likely from a civilian hat, and these EM/NCO kepis were not lined.
RZM tag is a fake as well, and so are the museum stamps.

BUT, I do appreciate your posting these--they are fakes I had not seen before, and were very good for their day.
