I will continue to post a few more Kepis , the owner of these is in his mid 70's and does not a own a computer and is not a TR collector. He was not shocked when i told him most of the ones I have posted for him were high end repros. Thanks, Stonemint for the info and for sharing your knowledge with me and others and hopefully these posts educate and save other collectors a lot of money.Attachment 1561095Attachment 1561096Attachment 1561097Attachment 1561098Attachment 1561100Attachment 1561108
The Neuhold sweatband and the one above seem to have been in/for hats, the stamp of the one above says "Der AllwetterHUT mit abnehmbarem ????band" so it was in a hat for all kinds of weather and had a removeable ???? (sweat?)band.
No apology needed; I will pass info on to the owner. I will post the last few as well....
Here is a early DLV Kepi...like i said too mint to be true. I spoke with the collector that inherited these...and he said he found all the paperwork to these Kepis when and where they were purchased...Manion's back in the late 90's early 2000. That probably explains a lot of these fakes.Attachment 1561162Attachment 1561160Attachment 1561159Attachment 1561158Attachment 1561161
Unfortunately the DLV kepi is a fantasy item.
The insignia is original, but the Kepi is not even German.
PS--Manions was moving a lot bad stuff during this time, and it was done in cahoots with several "big names" in the hobby back then.

Re: the "DLV" Kepi, that badge was for the Deutsche Luftfahrt Verband, and was to be worn on a visor cap, as here:
