That confirmed my skepticism.
Gentlemen, due to the tag this cap must have been made by Arthur Frahm/Berlin (RZM # A1/52) in gaberdine - so far not seen in originals (and also the tag itself is a completely new design so far not known), as is the construction (seems to be a cover over a base held by the two buttons for the chin strap). Again I wish all the repro/fake caps could be so easily identified. Frahm would turn over in his grave.
Here is is entry in the 1952 Berlin addressbook (funnily enough he doesn't appear in the 1941 one):
Found him under his name in the 1937 edition (written Artur, not Arthur!) as Mutzenm. = Mützenmacher, so should be an A2:
