    First of all I'd like to state that I'm no specialist for this kind of cap. I just happened to find this:

    SS RZM Feldmütze tag
    M34 SS VT side cap, Otto Schlientz, Straubing

    and here 2 originals:

    ss-vt side cap
    2 different SS-VT M34 sidecap

    Hopefully for you the specialists will contradict my suspicions.
