Waffen SS Prinz Eugen division cap
Hello,
I bought this cap today at a local trusted antique shop
the seller told me it was a cap used by Bosnian Muslims of the Prinz Eugen SS division.
Since I live on the Balkans, war relics from WW2 are not very rare.
However this one caught my eye as it looked authentic, but I am afraid it might be a reproduction.
It is very clean and smells nice, probably because the seller washed it at some point. Despite that, on the inside of the cap a lot of dirtiness is still noticeable
I thought this guy might have sold me some old hunting cap, but then I googled the Prinz Eugen division and I found out from the old photos that caps like these were used. There aren't many records of this division, only a few photos of soldiers, all taken in the summertime (where caps like these were not present)
Take a look and tell me what you think!
NOTE!: The swastika emblem is not real, the seller told me he put it there to get more sales from tourists
Size is 58cm, too small for me
The white part in the middle is made from boar tusk

Not even close to a WW2 WSS vintage cap

As above, this is nowhere near a Second World War vintage piece - and probably not even military.
If you can return it, and get your money back, do so.
