For me this cap has more issues than just the sweatband - any more photos from behind the sweatband? I'd like to see how the lining is stitched in + how the piping joins (and where). Very peculiar sweatshild (i.e. the imprint of a sweatshield) and lining and the back of the visor/peak is also at least unusual. There is also something wrong with the spring that should support the crown at the front - seems to protude behind the center seam of the side panels. I don't know a thing about insignia, so I can't contribute to these but the cap itself looks at least peculiar to me. Hopefully for you the specialists will contradict me.

I'm with ErWeSa. Some strange construction details. I don't like how the front "poofs" out and overhangs and conceals the piping above the skull. Could be that the cap is squashed down, but I don't like the look of that. I don't collect SS, so cannot really judge the insignia, but I think they lack detail. Perhaps one of the specialists will chime in.

I do not see any spot where the chinstrap used to be attached. Or is this supposedly a crusher cap?

The TK looks fake to me, can’t comment on the eagle.

Nothing about this cap looks right to me!
The piping looks as it was sewn on later.. Weaving up and down all over.. The sweatband looks odd.. Ball pen writing etc... Looks like a three digit stamp cap.. (some of you probably know what that means)
But not one I would purchase.. Just my opinion!

Looks like a three digit stamp cap
OK, I'll bite; what does that mean?

Nice bait, see here:
Another thing: Just saw that there are too many holes around the eagle - there must have been different insignia mounted.

Isn't similar with this example from Espenlaub militaria? I'm referring to the top of the visor cap...

As far as I see, it seems that this visor was used as a crusher cap eventhough it isn't, maybe that's the reason why the visor is broken and there is no chinstrap...
