there is no record of there ever being a badge maker named "Otto Hoffmann" i maybe wrong but would say fake but wait and see what others say

Even after 66 years, available information can still be incomplete. I agree that the pin looks to be a fine period original.

You remember me this old thread. It looks good in hand too, I compared it with two others RZM markeds and the only differences I can see is the hook size and the width (OH=13,64mm, M1/143= 14,39mm and M1/6 = 14,65mm). But general opinion among collector communit is Otto Hoffman never produced itens during TR periode, it's a post war reproduction.

General opinion in the collector community is not always correct. This is likely a pre 3rd Reich era badge as it lacks RZM markings.
