Hi mates,
here´s an AES79 gravity knife without a makers stamp on the blade.
It is somehow incomprehensible to me that this "civilian" (contrary to the M1963 Kappmesser issued by the Bundeswehr), version of a Fallmesser / Kappmesser, manufactured by the AES company, has sold relatively well over a long period of time with its rather "complicated" structure .
The disassembly and assembly is only possible after some practice and routine (relatively ...) easily.

It is repeatedly claimed that cord cutter knives of this type, "civilian" and available on the general market, are officially introduced by the Bundeswehr.
Privately purchased by soldiers can, of course, definitely be the case, no question! ...
Here, for example, a "civilian" gravity knife made by Anette Eickhorn, Solingen.
Again, an AES79.
The blade of this knife is also not marked by the manufacturer.
I received this knife together with a Bundeswehr Kampfmesser M1968.
The former owner has scratched his name on the blades of both knives.
So, "privately procured" and "official tolerated" was quite possible.
The knife also shows signs of wear and dirt.
Will do pics then. Rich A. in Pa.

Nice civi examples. I have one that Ive been using for decades. Great when you need access to a blade but only have one hand free
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
