Intresting piece but it's a new one on me!
It is clearly a uniform item (therefore presumably military / security) because of the loops and buttons for the shoulderboards and it looks like it could be an aircrew or ships crew item (guessing). Does it have any BGS markings and do you know what type of role it was used in?

Hi Mark
thx. Yes BGS are today’s Borderguards of ( West ) Germany… so yes quite recent.
Wearer was in an armoured car unit ( photo below)
It has all labels and markings on the liner and inside pocket.
It has signs( stitching holes of removed patches)… “BGS “an “ Grenzschutz’ and the ex- owners name inside.
Since BGS used a lot of WW2 guear...it could well be still a WW2 wrap...reworked for BGS...Experst will know...hence my asking.
Its a relative of mine.
He was in BGS until 1968.
If I would like to sell it where to list it “ here” or in “ Classified “ ?
Cheers
Thx
