Early Bundeswehr Fallschirmspringerabzeichen real?

Article about: Here is a badge that I have owned for years. (Previously, it had belonged my father who had purchased it in the Seventies.) I know that this is the short-lived first-model paratroopers' jump

Franz Josef Strauss was a member of the Wehrmacht and a not without controversy politician in the Federal Republic of Germany, but also a respected and well-respected politician in wide circles.

A photo shows him as a Leutnant in Chernishevskaya in 1942.
