Article about: Hi. I have started to collect 57 awards, but I am not experienced with EK1 1914/1957. What do you think about this one, which should be manufactured by S&L? Thanks for your help!!!

    I'm a little confused. Why would there be a need for a 1957 version of the
    1914 Ek seeing that it never had a swaz on it or is this just they style that you got
    if you needed a replacement?

    It was not 100% written and described correctly from my side, sorry. S&L also made after WW2, imperial pices like EK1, Gallipoli Stars and so on from WW1. I also call them 57 pieces, because of their manufacture period. The need was e.g. for replacement a lost piece...

    Unfortunately, that description is incorrect.
    The only need for 57er's was to allow Military members who earned these awards during the TR era, to continue wearing them after WW II.
    Any award that did not bear the swastika, was allowed to be worn as is.

    I know the needs of 57 Awards, my Question was, if someone has experience with this Steinhauer Imperial Award made after WW2. For me the design , needle system looks good and typically as S&L has used for their 57 designed awards. Thanks!
