These are known marks and their manufacturers.
ESB....Ed. Sommerfeld, Berlin (Aluminium items including Mess tins)
FWBN.... F.W. Bröckelmann, Aluminiumwerk GmbH KG, Neheim/Ruhr (Alumninium items)
HR....Hans Römer, Neu Ulm (leather field equipment & steel helmets)
HRE....Heinrich Ritter, Esslingen am Neckar ("Kokonut" water bottle & water bottles clips)
OLC....Overhoff & Co., Lüdenscheid (alumninium parts, buttons, buckles)
PSL....Paul Schulze & Co., Lübeck (Steel helmets,water bottles)
VDN/VDNS....Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke/Nickel-und Stahlwerke, Schwerte (Steel helmets)
These makers are still unknown:
AWS (on mess tin)
HSK (on mess tins and fighting knives)
HSZ (on mess tin)
NSB (on Essbesteck)
RFJ (on mess tin or water bottle)
TWH (on BGS MP mag pouch)
If any one wishes to add or I.D. some of the unknown marks please add.....I have made this a "sticky" so it will be available with ease of reference......

Indeed it is Daniel, post war mess tin, from what West German organisation depends on its colour, for example....Oliv grun, Bundeswehr (Armed forces), Hellgrau, THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief), Blau, Police....."HSZ" is a known mark from an as yet unknown maker, "80" is the year of manufacture, in this case 1980...........Hope that helps.
