If memory serves, I think the Austrians used white for 57 Wound Badges

I upload this ribbon bar to the thread as a farewell and as a kind of contest, to see if anyone knows who it belonged to.
If I won a big lottery prize, I would buy something of this kind.

    Best regards.

Don't know about their using white, but I've seen several Austrian bars with the grey-and-red ribbon from the Austrian WW I-era wound medal. (Sorry; I don't own a specimen to show.)

Hans Speidel. Yes, that would be the crowning piece of any 57er ribbon bar collection...

Fantastic collection. Although I prefer the full size medals, medal bars, stick pins and minis all look great and do any collection proud. Thanks for showing.

Going through the photographs on my PC the other day, I found another "dream bar":

This is the tunic of the Bundeswehr's fourth Inspector General Ulrich de Maizière on display at the Militärhistorisches Museum der Bundeswehr in Dresden. (Apologies for the poor quality, but between the dimmed lighting and the uniform being behind glass, it's the best I could do.)

    Hello Andreas.
Thank you very much for sharing and remembering this thread.
Actually, the ribbon bar of Ulrich de Maizière, of course, would be one of the best possible for any collection.

I received it almost a month ago and I had forgotten… .. My last 1957 style ribbon bar. One double with the Ost Medaille and the Driver Proficiency Badge in Bronze.
    Small, simple and somewhat worn.
